My Story

I am a mature adult with a vibrant family life, blessed with grandchildren, and pets. Residing in the beautiful landscapes of Australia, I am deeply passionate about archaeology, history, and the past. My professional journey as a qualified archaeologist and lecturer allows me to share my love for ancient civilizations and historical discoveries with eager minds. Teaching is not just a job for me; it is a calling that I wholeheartedly embrace.

I started drawing in my early twenties, but family, life, and career meant that I put my drawing aside for many years. However, I have now returned to art and use my unique talent to inspire others to learn about the past.

Beyond the classroom, I am also an artist, with my work displayed in a couple of galleries. My art focuses on drawing artifacts that are not well known, with the goal of igniting curiosity and encouraging people to learn more about their history. I create detailed drawings of artifacts from all around the world, using a unique technique of dots and lines. This method, known as stippling, involves layering dots upon dots to build intricate and captivating pieces of art.

Creating these works of art is a labor of love and patience, with each piece taking anywhere from two weeks to four and a half months to complete. The meticulous process requires dedication and a deep connection to the subject matter, allowing me to bring historical artifacts to life in a way that resonates with viewers.

Through my art, I aim to bridge the gap between the past and present, shedding light on the stories and cultures that have shaped our world. Each drawing is a testament to the rich tapestry of human history, and it is my hope that by sharing these visual narratives, I can inspire others to explore and appreciate the wonders of our shared heritage.

Following is an example of how I create my art......
